Enduring Guardianship

An Enduring Guardian is someone you appoint to make lifestyle and health care decisions should you lose the capacity to make your own decisions at some time in the future.

It is important to plan ahead for a time when you may be unable to make your own decisions. This can happen unexpectedly due to an accident, illness or disability and you cannot always be sure that informal support networks of family members and friends important to you will be available or recognise when significant decisions need to be made on your behalf.

Feros Care highly recommends all care-recipients to formally identify an Enduring Guardian.

In NSW contact the NSW Office of the Public Guardian on 1800 451 510, Lawlink NSW or a solicitor for more information.

In QLD refer to QLD Government Justice or a solicitor for more information
