Power of Attorney

A Power of Attorney is someone you appoint to ensure that essential financial matters are attended to by a trusted person at an appropriate time. A Power of Attorney can be general or limited according to time or defined physical or mental condition.

As long as you are mentally capable, a Power of Attorney cannot stop you from dealing with your own matters unless you request assistance.

Formally identifying an Enduring Power of Attorney is advisable if you are in hospital, an aged care facility or have limited physical mobility or deteriorating mental health brought on by illness or ageing.

Feros Care recommends all care-recipients have an established Power of Attorney prior to commencing services.
