All services provided by Feros Care are motivated by the following service principles which underpin our Byron Model of Care:
- Preserving Dignity – The life experience of every senior is valued and deserves respect.
- Promoting Healthy Ageing – Focus on ageing as a positive experience involving the mind, body and spirit.
- Empowering Lifestyle Choices – Empowering seniors to live the way they want by offering service choices.

Feros Care has adopted the FISH Philosophy which we believe is the secret to a positive workplace culture. It encourages staff to create an innovative and accountable work environment where playful, attentive and engaging attitudes lead to more energy, enthusiasm, productivity and creativity with the aim of improving workplace culture.
There are 4 simple rules we encourage each other to follow each day and they are the foundation of the FISH! Philosophy.
We can be serious about our work without being serious about ourselves. Play is about being light-hearted, creative and experimenting with new and innovative concepts or just having a dance around the office at lunch time joining in a sing-song.
Make Their Day
Do the unexpected or out of the ordinary, what is ordinary to one person may be extraordinary to another. A smile, holding the lift door open for a customer, colleague or stranger, bringing morning tea into work or thanking someone makes everyone feel valued.
You need to stay focused in order to ‘be there’ when your clients or team members need you. You may be physically present but your mind can be miles away.
Choose Your Attitude
As you enter the workplace choose to make today a great day. Your colleagues, clients, team members and you yourself will be thankful.
These principles are explained in a book entitled FISH! by Dr Stephen Lundin.
Embracing FISH! is helping Feros Care to:
- create a more engaging and alive workplace;
- increase productivity and reduce employee turnover;
- encourage imagination and creativity and infuse a fun-filled spirit across the organisation;
- inspired others to own their choose attitudes; and
- build trust and improve communications and relationships within the workplace.
