Maintenance Officer - Kingscliff

We are looking for a general all-rounder to provide additional maintenance support to our Buildings, Assets and Grounds support team working across Feros Care’s Premises. You will be based primarily at our Kingscliff facility (however outside of current COVID restrictions we also have offices in Coolangatta/Tweed and facilities in Byron/Bangalow).

The role will require a level of physical fitness and includes, but is not limited to, digging, weeding, occasional lifting, use of ladders, carpet cleaners, gurneys and other manual tasks.

This is a casual role, working up to 21 hours per fortnight. To assist with reducing the risk of community transmission all candidates who work for other Business in a residential facility, aged care services, disability service provider or transport services  will be required to advise Feros Care in your application.

From 1 May 2020, it is a mandatory requirement from the Department of Health that an up to date flu vaccination is required for ALL persons to be able to enter Residential Aged Care Facilities. As part of our Feros Care recruitment process, we ask that all applicants are aware of this new requirement and should you have any reason not to obtain a vaccination, that you speak with your dedicated Recruitment Advisor.


What will I be doing?

  • Attending to all gardening, lawn care and maintenance requests
  • Completing documentation as required
  • Operating and maintaining equipment such as carpet cleaners, power tools, and gardening equipment
  • Assisting with non-scheduled cleaning, for example spills, as directed
  • Maintaining infection control requirements and identify, resolve and report hazards
  • Liaising with external contractors as required


What do I need?

  • Previous experience working in a construction/landscaping role
  • Current Drivers Licence


Brownie Points:

  • Certificate III in Horticultural Studies
  • Certificate in the Safe Use and Handling of Chemicals and Hazardous Substances
  • Fire Safety Officer Certificate
  • Electrical Tagging Certificate
