Feros Care’s commitment to ensuring our employees feel connected, valued, and genuinely invested in the ‘Feros Way’, is part of the fabric of what makes us unique. We have a very real focus on nurturing employee relationships and recognising our hardworking people. By going above and beyond to build a fun and inclusive workplace culture defined by spirit, teamwork and excellence in care, we attract and retain an award-winning team of dedicated and truly passionate people.
We promote fulfillment and celebrate our people in numerous ways, such as the inaugural Feros Care Team Member Awards. Acknowledging and rewarding those who have contributed something exceptional, the awards run concurrently with Founders Week. Delivered online and brimming with fun activities, insightful videos and more, Founders Week engages employees and presents opportunities for teams to learn more about the organisation and each other.
Our People and Culture Team create an annual calendar of events suitable for everyone. From team meetings to novelty days, BBQs, social events and much more, it’s the perfect team bonding opportunity. Then, at the end of each year, our teams have the freedom to choose how they celebrate their efforts and achievements.
Ensuring our amazing people are fulfilled at work and that their individual and team achievements are celebrated is always at the forefront of our organisational culture.
Team Member Awards
The annual Feros Care Team Member Awards are one of our many initiatives to recognise the amazing individuals creating extraordinary within the ordinary. There are multiple categories to highlight the variety of ways our employees are making a big difference to our aged care clients, residents, NDIS participants, internal customers, and fellow employees.
The Awards Committee is a diverse mix of team members from across the organisation. Collectively they have developed a broad cross-section of awards categories, including the Kindness Champion Award, Dream Maker Award, Game Changer Award, Culture Shaper Award, Volunteer of the Year, and Team Member of the Year.
Award nominations are decided by our people via a peer vote system, enabling all Feros employees to have their say. The winners are then selected by an external judging panel, formed by highly regarded members of our community including Feros Care Board representatives and customer groups. A highlight of Founders Week each year, the awards not only show our appreciation for outstanding contribution but inspire our people to continue helping clients grow bolder.
Founders Week
Founders Week is an opportunity for employees from all levels and departments to come together, recognise our wonderful teams, reconnect with our origins, review organisational growth, and celebrate the exciting road ahead.
Occurring annually, it is filled with fun activities, insightful videos, opportunities for teams to get to know one-another better, and much more. With something for everyone, it’s delivered entirely online enabling all employees to get involved, regardless of location and other commitments. It includes the Team Member Awards, Q&As with staff and clients, and feel-good story sharing. During Founders Week, we have also introduced the Feros Giving initiative where employees nominate and decide which client, resident, and community deserves additional funding. Coinciding with our Team Member Awards and concluding with the Members AGM (annual general meeting), it’s a much-loved part of the Feros Care calendar.
End of the Year Celebrations
Feros Care’s end of year celebrations acknowledge our teams’ hard work and ongoing efforts to make a difference in the lives of clients, residents, NDIS participants, and internal customers. Designed for maximum fun, they foster connectivity and ensure our staff feel valued and special. Often planned by individual groups or departments, each team has the freedom to celebrate the year’s achievements ‘their way’, whilst bonding with one-another on a social level. In the past staff have enjoyed lunches, dinners, karaoke, bowling…and even a Paint and Sip workshop!
