As I Age

As I Age

Our ‘As I Age …’ interactive wall is a community engagement project we took to the streets – designed to ignite discussion and ideas in communities across Australia about growing older – allowing people of all ages to express how they hope their lives will evolve as they age.

We are building a positive image of ageing. Feros Care celebrates growing older and encourages everyone to “Get Bold. Not Old!” The ‘As I Age …’ project highlights our commitment to celebrate ageing – to set new life goals, continue to learn, love, enjoy and live life to the fullest.

As I Age art installation expands across NSW

It all started in 2015, with the giant touring ‘As I Age…’ interactive display wall taking our celebrating ageing message to the streets!

This year the installation grew to a series of smaller modular walls, when Feros Care joined forces with 15 councils to display the boards during Seniors Week.

The boards also appeared at the 2015 Cooly Rocks On Festival and the 2015 Melbourne, Brisbane and Byron Writers Festivals.

These wonderful community alliances are helping Feros Care promote its celebrating ageing message through community engagement – people of all ages are having a say about how they want to age and the kind of world they want to grow older in.

Taking the ‘As I Age…’ project to the streets in this way has allowed 1000s of people to interact with the walls in ten languages – from writing comments to taking selfies and sharing on social media – kickstarting conversations about the way we want to age. Our “As I Age …” walls are igniting discussion and multi-generational appeal as the communities take ownership of the walls and the message they bring.
