Barossa Community Alliance

The Barossa community came together to support those in their region who were most vulnerable during COVID-19. Feros Care was a member of the Barossa Community Alliance, which formed a coordinated approach to provide connections and information.

Working with representatives from Barossa Council, local disability and aged care providers, Southern Barossa Alliance, and community representatives, they identified the need to establish working committees for a coordinated approach of volunteer programs, shared work force resourcing, virtual connection and an e-community hub to provide trusted information and a direct contact phone line for vulnerable community members who do not have internet access.

The project delivered an online community hub that enabled the community to access information and appropriate support connections. The intent was to develop a trusted centralised hub to provide accurate news updates, direct users or those accessing the portal to support resources, manage volunteers, community generosity and to facilitate communication.
