The Virtual Social Centre is a welcoming virtual space where participants and carers can actively participate in live events that cover topics from employment, health and wellness, music and mindfulness to starting a business and more.

Who is the Virtual Social Centre for?

You may be eligible to join the Virtual Social Centre if you are a current NDIS participant or if you are the carer or family member of someone who is an NDIS participant. Your privacy matters to us and the Virtual Social Centre is a safe online community. Please note that to access the Virtual Social Centre, you will need a valid NDIS number.

Join the Virtual Social Centre by following these easy steps.

  1. Get in touch

    First things first: you need to get in touch with our friendly team either by calling us on 1300 986 970 or by filling out the form at the bottom of the page. We will then be able to talk you through any eligibility or requirements, and run you through what exactly the Virtual Social Centre is.

  2. Things you need

    The Virtual Social Centre operates on most computers, tablets, and laptops with access to high speed internet, a webcam, and a microphone. On a laptop or computer, the latest version of the Google Chrome browser is recommended, but will also work on Mozilla Firefox. Using a dedicated headset with microphone is recommended.

    For Apple iOS tablets, the VSC works best on devices that are no older than 2 years. Ensure your iOS tablet is running the latest software; iOS 13.6 or later is required.

    Using the VSC on a smart phone is possible, but due to the smaller screen size it’s not recommended.

  3. Register

    Once verified, we will send you a unique registration code to your mobile number or email address that you’d provided. This email will also provide the Terms and Conditions. This unique code will prompt you to set up a profile on the VSC platform. Please note that no NDIS identifying data is stored in our system and you are not to provide any full identifying data to adhere to NDIA privacy policy.

  4. Explore

    You are ready to enjoy our Virtual Social Centre sessions! You can log in to the platform any time you wish, and join in on any session you like by clicking on the ‘register’ button on the session of your choice. You will discover a vibrant online community, where you can learn about topics from employment, health and wellness, music and mindfulness to starting a business and more.

Sessions on the Virtual Social Centre

The Virtual Social Centre offers a wide variety of sessions that change every week; however, they usually fall into any one of these categories.

Health and lifestyle

From self-care programs to mental health and wellbeing classes, we want to help you live a healthy life from the comfort of your home. These sessions are fun but educational, and they focus on equipping you with the knowledge you need to stay healthy inside and out.

Special interest

Whether you need direction on pathways to employment, digital skills, or other tasks such as cooking, you can learn with others through our special interest live sessions.

Arts and performance

Art unites us in ways we don’t always realise. Whether you enjoy learning how to create things or simply watching others, we have something for you.

Carers support

If you are joining the Virtual Social Centre on behalf of someone you care for, the Virtual Social Centre has plenty of sessions for you too – such as caring for carers, or music and mindfulness.
