What are core supports (NDIS)?

Under the NDIS, Core Supports is your main support category and the most flexible of the three NDIS support categories (Core Supports, Capacity Building & Capital Support).

NDIS Core Supports are put in place to help you with everyday activities (including your personal care and domestic tasks), your disability-related needs and to work towards achieving the goals in your NDIS plan. Core Supports have also been put in place to assist you in participating within your community and can also cover some transportation costs if you are unable to use public transport. As the most flexible NDIS support category, your core support budget can be moved from one core support category to another to meet your needs and aspirations.

Even if you are not eligible for an NDIS support plan, you can still ask your LAC about the supports available in your local community. To find out more about the NDIS, core supports and how Feros Care’s Local Area Coordinators can assist and support you, send an email to [email protected] or  call Feros Care on 1300 986 970.
