What Is Home Care?

Home care (also known as ‘in-home care’) is care that takes place in a person’s home to enable them to
live independently in their home. Home care services can be government funded (e.g. through the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP) or a Home Care Package (HCP)) or privately funded. A variety of home care services are available
to help you live independently, such as:

  • Help around the home (housework, house maintenance, shopping, home-cooked meals & home modification, including smart home technology)

  • Help staying healthy (personal care, physiotherapy, nursing & health and fitness)

  • Help getting out and about (transport, shopping, social outings, connection and companionship).

If you are currently receiving or interested in applying for the Commonwealth Home Support Programme or a Home Care Package and would like to learn more about our home care services, please contact Feros Care on
