Young Ducks is an eight-week hydrotherapy program that can help reduce joint pain, increase movement, and improve endurance, balance, and agility – all while meeting a new group of friends!

The first class takes place on dry land to assess which exercises are right for you. Then, the real fun begins as you hit the pool for one-hour sessions with a qualified instructor.

Hydrotherapy provides a supportive and safe environment for exercise, especially for those with painful joints. The heated pool makes movement easier, providing vital warmth and compression to help alleviate soreness. It has also been proven to boost strength, cardiovascular health, and overall mood.

Young Ducks is designed and led by qualified physiotherapists or exercise physiologists. Your results are also measured at the end of the program, so you can see just how much you have improved!

Frequently asked questions

Got a question about Young Ducks?

Am I eligible?

Before joining Young Ducks, we’ll kindly ask you to undergo a pre-screening functional assessment with a Feros Care physiotherapist or exercise physiologist. This is to help ensure the program suits your needs and that you’re physically able to participate.

Is there a cost for the program?

You can apply for the program under the Home Care Package (HCP) or the Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP), and the cost will be determined based on your program’s funding options. If needed, we’re happy to assist you with registering for My Aged Care to access our government-subsidised Allied Health Groups.
