Inclusive Community Event with a Difference: Touch-a-Truck
The team at Feros Care and The F.A.R.M Centre were delighted to meet so many community members at the Touch-a-Truck event. Young people, families, and local community organisations came together, creating a fun, friendly and inclusive community event.

On Sunday March 19th, kids, families and the community had the opportunity to discover over 20 different trucks and machinery, thanks to local community organisations such as the Light Regional Council, local emergency services and The F.A.R.M. All community organisations that attended donated their time, resources and machinery for this action-packed event, which proved to be a huge success.

Alongside the kids entertainment which included activities such as jumping castles, face painting, petting zoo, and a delicious sausage sizzle, the ‘sensory friendly zone’ was a hit for those with special needs. It allowed those with sensory needs, a place to experience a fun and friendly atmosphere in a quiet place, with no honking of horns or loud music.

Did you make it to the Touch-a-Truck day at The F.A.R.M. Centre?

If so, we would love to hear your feedback! Tell us how we can make our community a more fun, friendly and inclusive space for young people, families and carers.
