Self-Advocacy in the CALD Community

Supporting people with disability to self-advocate

Share your knowledge

With your community

Navigating the NDIS can be challenging, especially for people with disability from Culturally and Linguistically Diverse (CALD) backgrounds.

That’s where you come in.

If you feel confident to advocate – either for yourself or by supporting someone else – you can make a difference. We’re looking for volunteers from CALD communities who want to share their knowledge to help others in their community.

As a volunteer mentor, you’ll guide people with disability through the NDIS and other support systems, empowering them to understand and advocate for their own needs.

Additionally, if you’re interested in being mentored through a self-advocacy journey, this is a great opportunity to develop those skills with the support of a volunteer mentor.
