Meet Brett

Brett, 33, is a car enthusiast and video game lover who adores his dog, Scruffy. Diagnosed with truncus arteriosus and DiGeorge syndrome as a baby, and more recently with schizophrenia and depression, Brett has faced life’s challenges head-on.

Brett is happiest when he is working at Care Kitchen, where he learns new skills, cooks with others, and feels a sense of purpose. Brett’s resilience shines as he proves his disability doesn’t define him—it’s his determination and love for life that do.
