As partners delivering the NDIS, we work to build stronger communities that are inclusive and accessible for all.
Feros Care has partnered with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander NGO’s, Local Medical Centres, Allied Health and Mainstream, Schools and various business owners to support service providers to:
- Provide social and emotional wellness support.
- Acknowledge the impact of forcible removal and the potential recovery pathways.
- Recognise the signs and symptoms of trauma associated with forcible removal in clients, families and others involved with their service;
- Avoid re-traumatising survivors of the stolen generations.
The program supported local businesses and organisations to be a culturally safe place for local First Nations people. They are provided with ongoing support to create culturally safe practices.
