Popular services for Commonwealth Home Support Program clients

Curious about the clinical services you could be accessing through your Commonwealth Home Support Program (CHSP)? Here are some of the most popular services on offer through Feros Care.

Nursing care: Face-to-face and virtual

Our highly trained registered nurses are experts in seniors’ health and are very familiar with the conditions commonly affecting your age group. They provide nursing services to support your physical and mental health and wellbeing, and can either visit your home, or over the phone (Virtual Nursing).

Feros Care nursing services available to you include:

Wound care

Our registered nurses can assess wounds, develop a personalised care plan, and provide advice and tips on the ‘do’s and don’ts’ of wound care. They also ensure the implementation of correct wound management techniques, including dressing and pain management strategies.

Continence advisory service

Whether it’s creating a personalised continence support care plan, providing information on the latest continence aids, discussing prevention of bladder or bowel problems, assisting with catheter care and replacement, and much more, our registered nurses can assist you.

Medication support plan

If you require assistance with medication, we’re always here for you! This includes helping with medication administration, providing education about medications, ensuring safe storage, handling of medications, and more.

Virtual health assessment

Our registered nurses can assess your physical, mental, and health needs without visiting your home. They can also refer you to any other services, such as allied health services, if required.

Physiotherapy

Physiotherapy helps older Australians stay active, independent, and safe. Whether it’s recovering from an injury, managing a chronic condition, reducing pain and stiffness, preventing falls or increasing mobility, physiotherapy supports better movement.

Exercise Physiology

Exercise physiology also supports better movement and health, but with a slightly different focus. While physiotherapists treat and diagnose injuries or physical issues, exercise physiologists develop long-term, tailored exercise programs to improve strength, balance, heart health, and overall wellbeing – especially for those with chronic conditions.

If you’re feeling a little less steady on your feet or just want to stay fit and active as you age, exercise physiology could be a great way to boost your body and brain.

Allied Health Groups

Would you like to move more confidently around your home, enhance your fitness, get to know like-minded people, and add some fun to your life?
