Give the gift of connection

Happier, healthier, better-connected lives. That’s Feros Care’s mission. It’s why we’re passionate about tackling the growing epidemic of loneliness and its terrible impact on happiness and health.

Our life-changing social programs create joyful opportunities for those suffering alone to reconnect with their community, and create access to the tools and resources they need to enjoy meaningful friendships. But there is so much work still to be done.

We don’t think anyone should be lonely and we’re sure you’ll agree. You may have experienced loneliness yourself, or witnessed how it imprisons others. Or you may just share our passion for a more connected world and our vision for a future without loneliness.

Either way a gift from your estate means that we can help others out of devastating isolation. With your gift, we’ll be tackling loneliness, together.

Why leave a gift to a charity?

Everyone wants to leave the world a better place. Including a charity in your Will allows you to do just that, ensuring your life will give lasting meaning to others. It ’s a very popular choice for many people wanting to make a donation to their favourite causes, that otherwise may not have been able to do so.

Supporting charities like Feros Care means we can make a real difference in the world on your behalf, helping those who are suffering or vulnerable to live happier, healthier, more connected lives.

It’s a very simple process. You don’t need to be wealthy – even a small gift from your estate can transform lives, so that we can end the devastating loneliness suffered by thousands of Australians.

What a powerful legacy that is.

Where does your gift go?

The power of your legacy means that more lonely and isolated people will enjoy vital companionship and connections. More people will feel valued and be able to give value to others, like they belong again.

Why? Because your gift will allow us to continue our work, raising awareness of the issue of loneliness, activating the innate social skills of caring and connecting inside us all and expanding our programs to reach more people; helping those that need it most.

 High impact 21st century programs

Your gift means we can offer more places in our life changing social programs, such as the Virtual Social Centre, In Great Company,  Let’s Get Technical, or Social Prescribing, and to innovate and expand our programs to new groups and new locations. All our programs are co-designed and based on insights from the people who participate, resulting in fresh, innovative ways that really help people out of their loneliness, one by one. Take a look to see their impact.

Inspire and support community activities

We know we can’t tackle loneliness alone. It takes a whole of community approach. Because of you, we can increase our work at a local level, educating, inspiring and activating communities to come together to tackle loneliness in our neighbourhoods, where it lives.

Take a look at our social programs such as our More the Merrier Christmas campaign and Notes of Friendship.

Research

Because of you, we can keep up the important research and work with others to co-design and implement programs that address loneliness in innovative ways, in areas where we can make the biggest impact. Our Loneliness Framework has been developed from almost 300 studies of the loneliness landscape. Your support means we can continually increase our knowledge of loneliness to stay ahead and stop it growing.

Advocacy and education

Because of you, we can continue advocating and educating. To tackle loneliness effectively, governments, organisations, and communities need to work together to change policies, share ideas and pool resources. Your support allows us to drive understanding and partnerships so that we can tackle loneliness together.

How to leave a gift in your Will

Including Feros Care in your Will is very simple. Just follow these simple steps:

Step One

Include loved ones in your decision

Having an up-to-date Will ensures that your estate is given to the people and causes you care about the most.

It is important to talk to the important people in your life about your decision to leave a gift in your Will to Feros Care. This may include loved ones, friends and the Executor of your Will. This is to help them understand and support your decision.

Step Two

Decide on the bequest you would like to give to Feros Care

There are several options you can choose from. Most people like to nominate a gift of a specific dollar amount (Pecuniary or Specific Sum).

You can also consider a residuary gift, leaving the balance of your estate (the residue) after you have made provisions for your loved ones, or a percentage gift where you decide what proportion of your estate you’d like to leave.
