An STRC program lets you take advantage of specialist knowledge to feel strong, healthy and happy again.
Short-Term Restorative Care (STRC) is designed to help you recover from injury or illness. It’s a fully subsidised service funded by My Aged Care, and it aims to get you moving and helps you retain your independence.
How the Short-Term Restorative Care program works
What’s more it is completely driven by you. You identify the goals and let us know what you’d like to achieve. We then match you with the right restorative care program and the relevant experts to help you reach those goals. Over eight weeks we work together to deliver the program in the comfort of your home or within the community.
We are passionate about your wellbeing. Let us help provide the support you need to feel like you again.
Improved mobility and support lifts quality of life
Despite living independently in a unit in the community, with regular support from her daughter and friends, 87 year old Judy had become socially isolated. With a Feros Care Short-Term Restorative Care program designed by a multidisciplinary team of allied health professionals, she was able to improve her mobility, reduce her pain and improve her overall health.

My husband was making all our meals. Now I’m making our meals. I can even iron. There’s lots more I can do, whereas I could do nothing before. I’m so glad for the recovery journey I have been through. It has changed my life for the better in ways I couldn’t imagine. Now, I can do things that used to be impossible and I couldn’t be more thankful! So grateful to those who helped me along this journey. Thank you all!
They’ll get me anything I need to make my life easier. I didn’t know what was available to me, and they have all the ideas and suggestions.
