More the Merrier – Give the gift of connection
Christmas is often the most painful time of year for those struggling with loneliness and isolation, and this is especially true for many seniors. For the one in four Australians who struggle with loneliness, Christmas is far from ‘the most wonderful time of the year’.
So, for five years in a row, Feros Care has been reaching out to lonely seniors to help them feel connected so they know they haven’t been forgotten through our More the Merrier campaign.
More the Merrier is all about creating connections for those who would otherwise be alone over Christmas. We ask the community to nominate seniors who deserve our “hamperful of connections” and then hand deliver hampers of goodies, make social visits, distribute Christmas cards and notes of friendship and host community events.

Our 2024 goal
Through “More the Merrier”, we will make Christmas 2024 less lonely, and more connected for at least 500 seniors. Together, with you, we’ll give them a Christmas to remember through cards, calls, visits and hand delivered hampers.
