Shape Feros Care’s practices and initiatives – LWG members were presented with an overview of two current projects underway around Inclusive information sessions and employment pathways for people with disability. Insights included the need for more capacity building activities for parents and guardians and the importance of adressing the gap in schools for students who have health needs.
How can employers foster more inclusive workplaces?
- Mandatory training on inclusivity needs revision to be more inclusive
- Education regarding the sometimes episodic nature of disability, especially in relation to mental health
- People with disability experience many barriers in simply traveling to a workplace
