More the Merrier: Thank you for supporting our seniors!

With the 2022 festive season all wrapped up, we’re proud to share the impact of another successful year of our More the Merrier campaign.

With one in four Australians suffering from problematic loneliness, the holiday season can leave many feeling alone and downhearted. The ambition of our More the Merrier campaign is to inspire individuals, communities and organisations to support those
who are alone at Christmastime.

Every year, the Feros Care team organises special activities to connect with some of the loneliest people in our communities – our treasured seniors – and help them feel cared about, valued and supported. Our vision is that the more people we connect
with, the merrier we will all be.

We hand-deliver special hampers and spend time with each senior. From October to December, we encourage people to write Christmas cards and letters that we collate and send out to seniors who are isolated. Schools, businesses, Duke of Edinburgh participants,
community groups, families and individuals all join our campaign. And on Christmas Day, special Feros Care helpers make Christmas phone calls.

These small actions help create a more connected Christmas for the one in three Australians who experience loneliness during the festive season.

This year, our elves:

• Delivered more than 100 hampers
• Sent over 350 Christmas cards
• Made 36 phone calls on Christmas Day
• Sponsored a special Christmas lunch for lonely seniors in the Illawarra

Our More the Merrier campaign was entirely sponsored by members of our community, business partners and local organisations that are passionate about making a difference in the lives of the people who really need it.
